The Festival of First Fruits is to be celebrated the "morrow after the Sabbath" (Leviticus 23:11) following Passover. The Festival of First Fruits teaches us the spiritual principal that all that we have comes from the God of Israel and we are to acknowledge that He is the source of all our blessings by giving back to Him our best and the first of our increase. The themes of first fruits are resurrection, deliverance and new beginnings. Yeshua was resurrected on the Festival of First Fruits. He is the first fruits of the resurrection of the dead. First fruits is thematically related to first born. The firstborn was originally given the kingship, priestly and double portion blessings. Yeshua is heaven's firstborn.
