When Rebecca was pregnant with Jacob and Esau, she was told that there would be a spiritual conflict between them (Genesis 25:21-23). While Jacob and Esau are twins, they have two different worldviews. As a result, they represent two different spiritual characteristics. Esau is concerned about the temporary values of this world while Jacob is concerned with eternal things. Therefore, Esau represents those things which are fleshly and carnal. Esau doesn't follow the Torah. He is a spiritual child of the wicked one. In the end of days, Jacob will get the final victory over Esau when Yeshua judges Esau and redeems Jacob from his exile under Esau's authority.
